Mansfield town centre regeneration

Pushing the Council to formalise a proper vision for the future, and helping business to bring investment and revitalise our town centre.

Improving our transport links

Good to hear that the County Council have successfully progressed to the next phase of the Government's Rural Mobility Fund, which means we can now submit a detailed business case for improvements to local bus services in the County, including across Mansfield and the surrounding area.

Boost in jobs and dining experiences in Mansfield

Some really positive news that three chain restaurants are set to move into Mansfield, boosting jobs and dining experiences. Taco Bell, Tim Hortons, and Domino’s Pizza have made a £12m proposal to move into the former bus station facility.

Levelling up

It’s been just over a year since Boris became our Prime Minister and stood on the steps of Downing Street setting out his vision for uniting and levelling up the Country.

Supporting High Street Businesses

You may have seen me in yesterday's Sunday Express, alongside Lee Anderson, as we're urging our constituents to get out safely and support our local high street businesses.

Update: Future High Streets Fund

This week I sat down with the Minister who's looking after the Future High Streets Fund, and I shared some draft proposals with him to have a look at before the Council submits plans.

Town Centre Survey Results

Pleased to be able to share the results of my recent Town Centre survey, which shows overwhelming support for moving more Council (and other) public services in to the Town Centre, and for the creation of a Council Hub in one of the empty town centre venues.

Regeneration Update

Fantastic progress made for our town centre regeneration project!

The Mansfield-based ARBA Group has now submitted plans to Mansfield District Council for its showcase Stockwell Gateway project, on the site of the derelict old bus station.

I need your views on the Town Centre!

I'm certain that moving the Council in to the town centre and filling some of the vacant shops with Council and Community services would bring more people in to town. Do you agree?
