Further Education Ambassador Ben Bradley MP has welcomed the launch of Government’s ‘Skills for Life’ campaign.
Through the campaign, Government will help people access the skills they need to get the job they want – whatever their stage of life. This applies to anyone weighing up their options before starting work, looking to change career, or wanting to find a more rewarding job. There is help and training available to get people to where they want to go.
Government is investing in lifelong learning, to give people the flexibility to train and study so they can gain skills at any point in life. Ben is pleased that Government will be working with colleges, training providers and universities to improve courses and qualifications so that a person’s skills can improve their life.
There are hundreds of opportunities to learn new skills, from essential numeracy to advanced technical qualifications, and many of the courses are free.

“As a Further Education Ambassador, it feels like a massive win that Government has listened to my calls and is putting a great emphasis on the importance of skills.
“I’ve constantly been banging on about the fact that university isn’t the right route for everyone, so I’m pleased to support the launch of Skills for Life, which will hugely benefit my constituents across Mansfield and Warsop.
“There are so many choices out there for people to learn new skills and I’m sure there’s something for everyone! I’d urge anyone who is keen to unlock their job potential to visit gov.uk/skillsforlife . It could be the start of something really exciting and rewarding!”
