Coronavirus Update: Face Coverings

Last night, the Transport Secretary announced face coverings will be mandatory on public transport.

Very young children, disabled people and those with breathing difficulties will be exempt.

The covering doesn't have to be an official kind of 'mask', it can be a scarf, a snood,  piece of cloth or something homemade. A face covering in what can sometimes be a crowded area on a bus or a train can prevent the airborne spread of the virus and reduce risk.
