The new £20 note

Modern money!

From today you may find the crisp new £20 in your change… (or more likely from the cash point, I don't know anyone who pays in £50s!) but do you know about the role the Royal National Institute for Blind People played in its development? The shape and colour of the new £20, which has tactile markings to help blind and partially sighted people to distinguish it from existing £5 and £10 notes, is the result of collaborative work between the Bank of England and the RNIB.

During the development of the note RNIB involved over 50 people in rigorous user testing, putting blind and partially sighted people at the centre of the initiative.
