I know that for many residents road maintenance and repairs is a big local priority so I'm pleased to see Government announce this £500m fund to improve the state of local roads, which is the second installment of a £2.5bn Pothole Fund.
It will be allocated to local Councils, and here in Notts our additional £8m of pothole funding will help us to repair up to 160,000 potholes, as we work to repair the damage of years of Labour's under investment from the local authority.
They left us a huge mess to clean up at County Hall four years ago, with the worst roads in the country, and we're making good progress trying to catch up with the backlog of repairs. This and further rounds of additional Government support for Notts can only help!
