Saturday's press conference, which you can watch here, had a very clear message from the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs: everyone must be more considerate in their shopping and consider vulnerable people.
Please heed his words. There is no need to panic buy. The only reason the shelves are empty is because people are not acting sensibly. Please think of others.
Tonight, the Prime Minister announced that special steps must be taken to protect 1.5m vulnerable people, including support accessing food and medicines. This will include military planners and, in the coming weeks, the opportunity for people to volunteer.
He also said there is no doubt 'lockdown' measures will have to be imposed if people cannot follow social distancing advice.
