Fantastic to see the Prime Minister looking well and on good form outside Number 10 this morning as he returns to work. His message is clear:
What we're doing - the social distancing - is working and we've 'flattened the curve' but this is still a moment of very high risk. Government is looking in great detail at the difficult decisions needed to get things moving again and that will happen soon, but it's not the time yet as we MUST avoid a second wave of the virus.
He wanted to say openly that he knows and understands the frustration many people are feeling and the sacrifices people are making, and he will share his working and his thoughts on lifting restrictions over the coming week, but for now please continue to stay home, protect our NHS and our loved ones, and save lives.
