After another week of debates and votes on Brexit I wanted to compile in one place everything thats been happening and how I'm feeling about it all (hint: annoyed).
The last time I gave an update on here was on the 15th of March. On the 18th the Speaker announced that he would not allow a third meaningful vote on May's deal unless there were clear changes made as he said voting on it without changes would be against parliamentary procedure. This made the extension to Article 50 more likely as it would be more difficult for the PM to pass her deal which would get us out on time. On the same day I held a 40 minute online surgery answering some of your questions, which is still up on the Ben Bradley MP's mansfield consituents facebook page.
On the 23rd I spoke to Sky News, you can watch the full interview on my YouTube Channel here. We discussed the DUP announcing that they would not support the deal and the rumours surrounding Theresa May's resignation.
Yesterday I did a little 2 minute Facebook post where I discussed more motions which are being brought before parliament which though completely non-binding (and in my eyes quite useless) have to be done in order to fit with the timetable laid out by parliament.
It's a bizarre time, to say the least, with lots happening but seemingly not much actually changing. I completely understand your frustrations and I have them too, I am trying to respond to all of your queries as quickly as possible but it may take me a little longer than usual with everything going on.
